Kieran Millman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan Blackwell having to interfere. Gareth Wakefield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan Blackwell having to interfere. Gareth Wakefield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rhys Howarth in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bob Newlyn saved FC Lauredià from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Rhys Howarth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Kieran Millman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lauredià's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kieran Millman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bob Newlyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhys Howarth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Kieran Millman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gareth Wakefield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Rhys Howarth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Newlyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gareth Wakefield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, FC Lauredià's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Charlie Boothroyd fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gareth Wakefield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Lauredià's Bob Newlyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vernon Connell in the 52nd minute of play. Charlie Boothroyd took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bob Newlyn. Bob Newlyn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Gareth Wakefield managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lauredià's supporters rose to their feet, but Gareth Wakefield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan Blackwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rhys Howarth in the 69th minute of play forced FC Lauredià's goalkeeper Bob Newlyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Lauredià getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dan Long hit a great ball. Duncan Blackwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gareth Wakefield, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Rhys Howarth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kieran Millman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rhys Howarth during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Rhys Howarth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Rhys Howarth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bob Newlyn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bob Newlyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rhys Howarth in the 95th minute of the match.
