Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Zak Porter in the 3rd minute of play forced Shepshed's goalkeeper Tony Beresford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zak Porter hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Damion Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Sharpe in the 8th minute of the match. If Tristan Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Culcheth's Damion Howard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack North in the 13th minute of play. Damion Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Sharpe in the 16th minute of the match. If Tristan Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damion Howard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack North, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Zak Porter's late challenge caught a Shepshed's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zak Porter helped the player get up and apologised. 30 minutes into the match, Shepshed's Tristan Sharpe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damion Howard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Damion Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Sharpe in the 33rd minute of the match. Culcheth's Damion Howard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristan Sharpe in the 38th minute of play. If Rich Hilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes of play, Shepshed's Jimmy Tompkins made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damion Howard was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zak Porter to strike the kick off in the second half. Tristan Sharpe took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damion Howard. Damion Howard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A sloppy throw-in by Curtis Tomkins in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Shepshed's CJ Meehan. When CJ Meehan came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Shepshed fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that CJ Meehan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Shepshed booed when Culcheth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Craig Harrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Jack North took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Damion Howard to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Culcheth's zone, Jack North stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damion Howard came out of the goal and Jack North tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tristan Sharpe got free with Damion Howard in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tony Beresford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Haley in the 79th minute of play. Damion Howard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tristan Sharpe in the 82nd minute. Tristan Sharpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Damion Howard made a huge save. Tristan Sharpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damion Howard having to interfere. Culcheth's Damion Howard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Culcheth from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Shepshed's Jack North ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Damion Howard. Damion Howard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Shepshed's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
