Stamford Stadium
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Adam Gold started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Stewart Endean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trev Parsons was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 5 minutes into the match, Fred Cooke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trev Parsons, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Cooke in the 8th minute of play forced Padiham's goalkeeper Trev Parsons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Cooke was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 11 minutes into the game, Stewart Endean recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trev Parsons. Stewart Endean showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Nathan Pringle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Gold, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Adam Gold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Pringle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ged Coates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Stewart Endean notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Padiham's Trev Parsons. Trev Parsons was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute Joshua Cordingley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Pringle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Stewart Endean made a precise shot to the right of Trev Parsons. Padiham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Fred Cooke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trev Parsons having to make a save. Trev Parsons came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Stamford United's Stewart Endean. But to his dismay, Stewart Endean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Harry Blake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Trev Parsons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Stamford United's Ged Coates slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trev Parsons. That made the score 7-0 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stewart Endean made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Harry Blake had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trev Parsons. Padiham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harry Blake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 57th minute Stewart Endean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Parsons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trev Parsons didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stewart Endean went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute, Fred Cooke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stamford United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Blake in the 68th minute of play forced Padiham's goalkeeper Trev Parsons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nathan Woodcock took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trev Parsons. Trev Parsons dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Stewart Endean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stamford United's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Endean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trev Parsons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 80 minutes of play, Stamford United's Fred Cooke made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trev Parsons was left in no man's land by his defense there! Trev Parsons came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Stamford United's Stewart Endean. But to his dismay, Stewart Endean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 14-0. Ged Coates hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Harry Blake managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stamford United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Blake was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Cooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Parsons having to interfere.
