Spectators: 9179 (Terracing: 6886, Seating: 2111, VIP seats: 182) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adam Gold started the match with the kick off. Colin Colt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronnie Church in the 4th minute of play. Colin Colt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Gold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Max Sykes scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Colin Colt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 11 minutes, Max Sykes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Padiham and the Carpathia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25thth minute of the game Ronnie Church who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carpathia's Colin Colt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Colin Colt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Sykes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Colin Colt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Gold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Max Sykes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colin Colt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Gold in the 32nd minute of the match. Colin Colt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronnie Church's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Clive Galloway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Parsons having to interfere. Carpathia's Colin Colt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Gold in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Barrie Downing threw the ball into play from the sideline. Carpathia's Koos Lemmen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Sewell was the one to do the kick off. Barrie Downing kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Ronnie Church left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Padiham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 62 played minutes Padiham got a freekick which was hit by Max Sykes. After 65 played minutes Padiham got a freekick which was hit by Max Sykes. If Koos Lemmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes of play, Carpathia's Koos Lemmen made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trev Parsons was left in no man's land by his defense there! Koos Lemmen hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Padiham's Zack Seaward couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carpathia. Daniel Rotherfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Parsons having to interfere. When Adam Sewell came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Carpathia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Sewell couldn't finish the play. Daniel Rotherfield struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Trev Parsons didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpathia. Koos Lemmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Parsons having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carpathia fully deserved thier win.
