Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Kenny Peacock made the kick off and thus started the match. Felix Read's late challenge caught a Morpeth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Read helped the player get up and apologised. Teddy Brookes had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Quentin Bean's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Darnbrooke during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Felix Darnbrooke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ross Townsend's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teddy Brookes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Morpeth's Warren Ford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Cornish in the 22nd minute of play. Charles Cornish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Ford having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Morpeth got a freekick which was hit by Jools Byfield. Deon York took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Warren Ford. Morpeth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Jason Saxton fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dinamo Tropez's protests and gave Jason Saxton a yellow card for diving instead. Jason Saxton hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The supporters of Morpeth booed when Dinamo Tropez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenny Peacock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Warren Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Cornish in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dinamo Tropez's Marc Sparkes got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ross Townsend to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Dinamo Tropez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Sparkes to maneuver through the defense. Quentin Bean was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Felix Darnbrooke hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ross Townsend recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinamo Tropez's Kenny Peacock got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Basil Grigg in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dinamo Tropez's Jason Saxton. Teddy Brookes came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Morpeth's Ross Townsend. But to his dismay, Ross Townsend quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Quentin Bean missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 81 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Teddy Brookes right hand side. Kenny Peacock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Philip Bird shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teddy Brookes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morpeth walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
