The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Ged Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot. BCV Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Ged Taylor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warren Ford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind BCV Team's goalkeeper Keanu Hopker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Warren Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richie Seward, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Warren Ford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ged Taylor in the 17th minute. Ged Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Morpeth's Warren Ford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gus Simms in the 24th minute of play. If Gus Simms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warren Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Simms in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralph Gough during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Ralph Gough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Oliver Housham dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Warren Ford, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ross Townsend stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Oliver Housham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Warren Ford was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Warren Ford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gus Simms, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, one of Morpeth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Morpeth. In the 69th minute Curtis Harding shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warren Ford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The BCV Team fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when BCV Team's Oliver Housham looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gus Simms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Warren Ford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Warren Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Housham in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Oliver Housham notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Morpeth's Warren Ford. There was no doubt that BCV Team were the better team. BCV Team's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
