In the 16th match minute, FC Shakhtar Donetsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Eumann to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Paulo Dybala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Washington de Lara. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Dybala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 20 minutes into the match, Racing Club Canillo's goalkeeper Carmelo Orkatz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ethan Stiles. The supporters of Racing Club Canillo booed when FC Shakhtar Donetsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Gallin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Racing Club Canillo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Ethan Stiles scored to the left of an out of position Carmelo Orkatz, making the score, 1-2. Racing Club Canillo's Carmelo Orkatz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club Canillo from getting a goal against them. Washington de Lara came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club Canillo's Paulo Dybala. But to his dismay, Paulo Dybala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Bartolo Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club Canillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Nofre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Washington de Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ethan Stiles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carmelo Orkatz firmly grabbed it by the left post. 46 minutes into the match, FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Ethan Stiles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carmelo Orkatz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Dybala was the one to do the kick off. Washington de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Dybala, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Carmelo Orkatz came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Ethan Stiles. But to his dismay, Ethan Stiles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Washington de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Dybala in the 61st minute of the match. After 62 played minutes FC Shakhtar Donetsk got a freekick which was hit by Krzysztof Limanowski. A sloppy throw-in by Ashley Haigh in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Krzysztof Limanowski. Carmelo Orkatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Stiles in the 69th minute of play. Carmelo Orkatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ethan Stiles, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Carmelo Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ethan Stiles in the 75th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Ethan Stiles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Shakhtar Donetsk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Racing Club Canillo made a substitution. Zenon Cisek replaced Paulo Dybala. Racing Club Canillo's Tom Clemence was substituted for Nicky Floyd. In the 92nd match minute, FC Shakhtar Donetsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Edur to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Shakhtar Donetsk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Racing Club Canillo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
