The referee ignored NIRVANA's protests and gave Borys Sushko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, NIRVANA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olexiy Taran to maneuver through the defense. If Viktor Verkhovod had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of NIRVANA booed when FC Metallist was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaroslav Rudyka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viktor Verkhovod fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pylyp Vyshnyak having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Verkhovod made a kick off. After 55 minutes FC Metallist's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kostyantyn Muravskyi who took care of the corner kick. In the 57th minute, Viktor Verkhovod ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pylyp Vyshnyak was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Pylyp Vyshnyak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Verkhovod in the 65th minute of the match. Viktor Verkhovod struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Pylyp Vyshnyak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NIRVANA. Vyacheslav Berezhnyj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pylyp Vyshnyak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taras Ptashnyk fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 70th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Viktor Verkhovod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, FC Metallist's Vyacheslav Vaschuk got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Pylyp Vyshnyak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Verkhovod in the 90th minute of the match. Borys Sushko hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Viktor Verkhovod received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Pylyp Vyshnyak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of FC Metallist's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC Metallist may have spent more time on the ball, but NIRVANA were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
