But to his dismay, Ruslan Maxymov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Донбасс's Yuriy Nitsetskyi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rostyslav Dikhtyar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Yuriy Nitsetskyi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rostyslav Dikhtyar, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuriy Nitsetskyi in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rostyslav Dikhtyar saved Viljnohirsjk from getting behind. Danylo Dekhtyaruk hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Maxym Goryslavskyi, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Viktor Odyntsov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viljnohirsjk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Донбасс the free kick. Yuriy Nitsetskyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Донбасс booed when Viljnohirsjk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Odyntsov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergiy Dekhtyaruk made a kick off. In the 54th minute Ruslan Maxymov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rostyslav Dikhtyar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislav Khoma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladyslav Apryshko having to interfere. If Ruslan Maxymov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuriy Nitsetskyi couldn't finish the play. Vladyslav Apryshko didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 71st minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. In the 83rd minute of the match, Stanislav Khoma got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vladyslav Apryshko was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 85th minute, Stanislav Khoma left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viljnohirsjk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Донбасс's goalkeeper Vladyslav Apryshko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Viljnohirsjk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
