Sovet Union's Lyubomyr Tarasenko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Sovet Union from getting a goal against them. If Taras Blokhin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Kyrylo Zaporozhets left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sovet Union fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Zakhar Shobotenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ruslan Lutsenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Sovet Union a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Petro Buryi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nadvirna FC Vorskla's Ruslan Lutsenko. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Taras Blokhin made a kick off. Lyubomyr Tarasenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Pylypaka, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Yarema Sanzhar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lyubomyr Tarasenko. Sovet Union's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yarema Sanzhar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 69th minute Taras Blokhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyubomyr Tarasenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nadvirna FC Vorskla's zone, Zakhar Shobotenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruslan Lutsenko came out of the goal and Zakhar Shobotenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zakhar Shobotenko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Ruslan Lutsenko when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot by Petro Buryi from long distance, 74 minutes into the match, got Ruslan Lutsenko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lyubomyr Tarasenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taras Blokhin in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Taras Blokhin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nadvirna FC Vorskla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taras Blokhin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 played minutes, Sovet Union's Volodymyr Bogach shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruslan Lutsenko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sovet Union reached it. After a rather tough play, Nadvirna FC Vorskla's Marko Pylypaka got a free kick in the 88th minute. Yarema Sanzhar struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Lyubomyr Tarasenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nadvirna FC Vorskla.
