Platon Tkachenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Luisinho Koehler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Platon Tkachenko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 19 minutes, Wincenty Zarobski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madryt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincenty Zarobski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Stryj Lokomotyv's Vsevolod Dmytryjenko got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Luisinho Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Platon Tkachenko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho Koehler ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luisinho Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisinho Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Platon Tkachenko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Platon Tkachenko was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Real Madryt were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisinho Koehler was the one to do the kick off. Luisinho Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Platon Tkachenko made a huge save. Petro Kostenko made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Madryt's Juvenal Lobato. Platon Tkachenko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luisinho Koehler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. The Real Madryt fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Real Madryt's Luisinho Koehler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Luisinho Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Platon Tkachenko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho Koehler ran back to his position shaking his head. Platon Tkachenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisinho Koehler in the 70th minute. Platon Tkachenko was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Wincenty Zarobski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wincenty Zarobski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Gennadiy Savenko kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Wincenty Zarobski sped through Stryj Lokomotyv's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Platon Tkachenko. Luisinho Koehler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Platon Tkachenko having to make a save. Luisinho Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Platon Tkachenko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho Koehler ran back to his position shaking his head. Platon Tkachenko made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Luisinho Koehler sent off a good shot on target. Luisinho Koehler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Platon Tkachenko having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded Real Madryt left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stryj Lokomotyv.
