After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Ostap Baranovskyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Khmeljnyckyj's supporters rose to their feet, but Ostap Baranovskyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Shlyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oleg Velychko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olexandr Tytarenko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Yaroslav Kotelyukh struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Olexandr Tytarenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romny. Yaroslav Kotelyukh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olexandr Tytarenko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Oleg Velychko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Olexandr Tytarenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Romny's Artur Shlyk got control of the ball when Sergiy Berezhnyj tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yaroslav Kotelyukh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Yaroslav Kotelyukh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaroslav Kotelyukh in the 37th minute of play forced Khmeljnyckyj's goalkeeper Olexandr Tytarenko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Khmeljnyckyj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yevgen Mandryk to maneuver through the defense. Khmeljnyckyj's Olexandr Tytarenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oleg Velychko in the 42nd minute of play. Olexandr Tytarenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaroslav Kotelyukh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oleg Velychko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Yaroslav Kotelyukh came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Romny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yaroslav Kotelyukh couldn't finish the play. Romny's Yaroslav Kotelyukh got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oleg Velychko in the 64th minute of play forced Khmeljnyckyj's goalkeeper Olexandr Tytarenko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Khmeljnyckyj's Olexandr Tytarenko got control of the ball when Yaroslav Kotelyukh tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Olexandr Tytarenko managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Romny's Yaroslav Kotelyukh fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leonid Olexiyenko hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, Stepan Ptashnyk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olexandr Tytarenko. Stepan Ptashnyk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Khmeljnyckyj's zone, Stepan Balioz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olexandr Tytarenko came out of the goal and Stepan Balioz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 minutes, Leonid Olexiyenko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Khmeljnyckyj and the Romny players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Romny booed when Khmeljnyckyj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonid Olexiyenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yaroslav Kotelyukh who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Olexandr Tytarenko when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 86 minutes, Yaroslav Kotelyukh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaroslav Kotelyukh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yaroslav Kotelyukh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Olexandr Tytarenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Romny's Yaroslav Kotelyukh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olexandr Tytarenko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Khmeljnyckyj's Vsevolod Monashevskyi got a free kick in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Khmeljnyckyj's goalkeeper Olexandr Tytarenko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yaroslav Kotelyukh.
