The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dobropillja's Maxym Baltacha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuriy Martyschuk in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, amd's goalkeeper Kyrylo Trusevych had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Danylovskyi. After 19 played minutes Dobropillja got a freekick which was hit by Rodion Syzon. In the 20th minute, Yuriy Martyschuk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The amd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Dobropillja's Rodion Syzon shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kyrylo Trusevych but with some difficulty. Maxym Baltacha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuriy Martyschuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led amd's Panas Redushko to fire away a dangerous shot which Maxym Baltacha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panas Redushko was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Panas Redushko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxym Baltacha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxym Baltacha came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by amd's Panas Redushko. But to his dismay, Panas Redushko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 59 played minutes Dobropillja got a freekick which was hit by Igor Danylovskyi. Danylo Grycajuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 minutes, Gavrylo Grytsay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the amd and the Dobropillja players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dobropillja booed when amd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavrylo Grytsay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxym Baltacha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuriy Martyschuk in the 69th minute of the match. Kyrylo Trusevych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gennadiy Synenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuriy Martyschuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxym Baltacha having to interfere. Yuriy Martyschuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mykola Siryi during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of amd booed when Dobropillja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mykola Siryi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxym Baltacha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panas Redushko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Dobropillja's Maxym Baltacha got control of the ball when Danylo Grycajuk tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dobropillja's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panas Redushko was slow to take the kick. During this time amd's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on amd's corner Panas Redushko fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maxym Baltacha quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Panas Redushko managed to get in a good position for a shot. amd's supporters rose to their feet, but Panas Redushko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxym Baltacha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danylo Grycajuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panas Redushko struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Maxym Baltacha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for amd. When the match was over amd could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dobropillja throughout the match.
