Oleg Lemishevskyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Illja Vovchenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasyl Masnyi having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience was convinced that Yevgen Yurchenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lyubomyr Shalata was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Berdjansjk's Illja Vovchenko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vasyl Masnyi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Berdjansjk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
