Dario Ferraresi kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Tykhon Famulyak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meteor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tykhon Famulyak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Bogdan Puchkov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stanislav Androschuk. Bogdan Puchkov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With an all-out effort, LIVERPOOL's Stanislav Androschuk threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bogdan Puchkov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. LIVERPOOL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernando Salvino in the 22nd minute. After taking down the ball on LIVERPOOL's corner Fernando Salvino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stanislav Androschuk quite easily take care of the ball. Meteor's Marjan Zdebskyi got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd match minute, Meteor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artem Staruschenko to maneuver through the defense. Stanislav Androschuk was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Bogdan Puchkov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bogdan Puchkov really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. If Gennadiy Rozlach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tykhon Famulyak made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Meteor booed when LIVERPOOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Spets didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Bogdan Puchkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Stanislav Androschuk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bogdan Puchkov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stanislav Androschuk having to make a save. Walmyr Rossi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 4-1. 70 minutes into the match, Meteor's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Puchkov came free, but Stanislav Androschuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Meteor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Krukovets to maneuver through the defense. After 74 minutes, Bogdan Puchkov made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Meteor's Stanislav Androschuk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of LIVERPOOL booed when Meteor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Ferraresi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanislav Androschuk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Firme went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Gennadiy Rozlach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stanislav Androschuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Puchkov in the 85th minute of the match. Sebastian Dammer hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Bogdan Puchkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stanislav Androschuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Rozlach in the 89th minute of play. Bogdan Puchkov might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanislav Androschuk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogdan Puchkov ran back to his position shaking his head. Meteor's Stanislav Androschuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Puchkov in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that LIVERPOOL were the better team. LIVERPOOL's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
