Bayındır Mehmet Tezalp hit a great ball. Şükrü Altuner might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hürkan Emek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Şükrü Altuner ran back to his position shaking his head. Battal Gazi Baykutay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hürkan Emek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Niksar JK's goal looked a bit too open when Battal Gazi Baykutay came free, but Hürkan Emek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Agah İdrisoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, Battal Gazi Baykutay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoffenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Battal Gazi Baykutay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hoffenheim booed when Niksar JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bektaş Tezeren didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Şükrü Altuner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Niksar JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bayındır Mehmet Tezalp to maneuver through the defense. Ender Canfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rıdvan Suel charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rıdvan Suel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rıdvan Suel kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Hürkan Emek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Battal Gazi Baykutay in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Şükrü Altuner made the kick off in the second half. Niksar JK's Hürkan Emek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şükrü Altuner in the 56th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Ender Canfer rounded Niksar JK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Şükrü Altuner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Battal Gazi Baykutay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Battal Gazi Baykutay came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Hoffenheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Battal Gazi Baykutay couldn't finish the play. Hürkan Emek made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Battal Gazi Baykutay sent off a good shot on target. Battal Gazi Baykutay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hürkan Emek having to interfere. Agah İdrisoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Hürkan Emek made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Battal Gazi Baykutay sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd match minute, Niksar JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bayındır Mehmet Tezalp to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Hoffenheim could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Niksar JK throughout the match.
