Tunç Esenboğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cem Tanbolat, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kemalettin Gerdaneri during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Kemalettin Gerdaneri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trabzonspor's Tunç Esenboğa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cem Tanbolat in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Tunç Esenboğa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ahmet Ceyhan Uçanay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Birant Aysan got a free kick in the 73rd minute.
