When Ünsal Kocaman came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Kangal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ünsal Kocaman couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ünsal Kocaman in the 28th minute of play forced Ego FK's goalkeeper Şanver Temcit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Muzaffer Deren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kangal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muzaffer Deren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, one of Ego FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ego FK. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Özalp Birsel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ego FK got a freekick which was hit by Neşat Şahabeddin. Neşat Şahabeddin hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ego FK defense, Muzaffer Deren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şanver Temcit. The Ego FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şanver Temcit should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Kangal's zone, Hacı Ali Azimli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüsnü Ünlem came out of the goal and Hacı Ali Azimli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Hacı Ali Azimli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ego FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hacı Ali Azimli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ego FK booed when Kangal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Refik Sarvan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özalp Birsel in the 66th minute of play forced Kangal's goalkeeper Hüsnü Ünlem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ego FK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Neşat Şahabeddin hit a great ball. Muzaffer Derens short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Şanver Temcit to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Ego FK's zone, Ünsal Kocaman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şanver Temcit came out of the goal and Ünsal Kocaman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Muzaffer Deren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kangal's supporters rose to their feet, but Muzaffer Deren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şanver Temcit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ünsal Kocaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Muzaffer Deren notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Ego FK's Şanver Temcit. Şanver Temcit was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ego FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kangal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
