Salih Çakır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanju Paşa, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The AnkaraGücü SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salih Çakır should have stopped the shot. The AnkaraGücü SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Simav JK were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bahtiyar Acıbadem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Tanju Paşa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salih Çakır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salih Çakır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanju Paşa in the 57th minute of play. Abdulmelik Tugay made in the 64th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tanju Paşa. AnkaraGücü SK's Salih Çakır proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save AnkaraGücü SK from getting a goal against them. After 66 played minutes AnkaraGücü SK got a freekick which was hit by Nihat Başeğmez. AnkaraGücü SK's Tuncay Seçkiner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abdulmelik Tugay, made in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Oğuz Özalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salih Çakır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Salih Çakır managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Simav JK's Mutlu Altınkaya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 78th match minute, Simav JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanju Paşa to maneuver through the defense. AnkaraGücü SK's Alemdar Ergüç pulled a muscle in his back after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdulmelik Tugay during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AnkaraGücü SK booed when Simav JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faik Budak hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Salih Çakır made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Mutlu Altınkaya sent off a good shot on target. Mutlu Altınkaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Salih Çakır made a huge save. AnkaraGücü SK's Salih Çakır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanju Paşa in the 97th minute of play. The AnkaraGücü SK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Simav JK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
