Etimesgut's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sezgin Günden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sungurbey Özdilmaç in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Emre Tamerkin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sezgin Günden. Etimesgut's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emre Tamerkin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 25th minute Emre Tamerkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sezgin Günden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alptuğ Derdiyok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31stth minute of the game Sungurbey Özdilmaç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Etimesgut's Sezgin Günden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ergincan Ulu in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yahya Kemal Zübeyir, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The supporters of Gördes FK booed when Etimesgut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dündar Ayvazoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Etimesgut got a freekick which was hit by Alptuğ Derdiyok. Emre Tamerkin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Sezgin Günden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gördes FK's Kerem Kadirsah got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute of the match, Sungurbey Özdilmaç tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sezgin Günden saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Gördes FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gördes FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
