Giray Kasım blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vecdi Özgunay having to make a save. In the 5th minute Ahmet Çağrı Kolçak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mümtazer Kaim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdi Özgunay having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Giray Kasım left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC ERZURUM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Mümtazer Kaim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdi Özgunay having to interfere. If Mümtazer Kaim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mümtazer Kaim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vecdi Özgunay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC ERZURUM getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rando Ehasalu hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes FC ERZURUM got a freekick which was hit by Remzi Tunçaslan. 37 minutes into the game, Gencay Revis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cayirli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC ERZURUM the free kick. Gencay Revis hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Cayirli's goalkeeper Vecdi Özgunay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mümtazer Kaim. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Çağrı Kolçak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fevzi Sabit could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Desiderio Ostadar made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mümtazer Kaim in the 57th minute of play forced Cayirli's goalkeeper Vecdi Özgunay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cayirli defense, Giray Kasım kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vecdi Özgunay. The Cayirli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vecdi Özgunay should have stopped the shot. Orhun Cambaz charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orhun Cambaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC ERZURUM getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Orhun Cambaz hit a great ball. Vecdi Özgunay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giray Kasım in the 65th minute of play. Mümtazer Kaim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdi Özgunay having to interfere. Desiderio Ostadar came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Cayirli's Ahmet Çağrı Kolçak. But to his dismay, Ahmet Çağrı Kolçak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Orhun Cambaz was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 73 played minutes FC ERZURUM got a freekick which was hit by Orhun Cambaz. 74 minutes into the match, Cayirli's Kenan Vasfi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Vecdi Özgunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mümtazer Kaim in the 77th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Cayirli's goal looked a bit too open when Mümtazer Kaim came free, but Vecdi Özgunay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mümtazer Kaim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ergincan Ulus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rando Ehasalu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd match minute, FC ERZURUM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yiğit Suersan to maneuver through the defense. Fevzi Sabit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC ERZURUM's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
