DERİNKUYU SK's Uğurcan Arkın got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 20 played minutes DERİNKUYU SK got a freekick which was hit by Vehdi Nurkan. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by DERİNKUYU SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vahap Üstünbay was slow to take the kick. During this time Adapazari JK's players had a chance to rest. Şerafettin Bilkan hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Birdal Gökkır could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Martien de Gooijer made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Adapazari JK's zone, Uğurcan Arkın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giray Veziroğlu came out of the goal and Uğurcan Arkın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vahap Üstünbay to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes DERİNKUYU SK got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Fujarczuk. After a defensive mix-up in DERİNKUYU SK's zone, Birdal Gökkır stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martien de Gooijer came out of the goal and Birdal Gökkır tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ali Hamza Ünsal charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Hamza Ünsal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Ali Hamza Ünsal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birdal Gökkır recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Uğurcan Arkın managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DERİNKUYU SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uğurcan Arkın was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martien de Gooijer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birdal Gökkır, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Adapazari JK were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after DERİNKUYU SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vahap Üstünbay took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Murat Eracar drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind DERİNKUYU SK's goalkeeper. After a defensive mix-up in DERİNKUYU SK's zone, Birdal Gökkır stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martien de Gooijer came out of the goal and Birdal Gökkır tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uğurcan Arkın in the 85th minute of play forced Adapazari JK's goalkeeper Giray Veziroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Vahap Üstünbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martien de Gooijer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Birdal Gökkır notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of DERİNKUYU SK's Martien de Gooijer. Martien de Gooijer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. DERİNKUYU SK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Adapazari JK had won, even though DERİNKUYU SK had held more of the ball.
