In the 4th minute Kamuran Atik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tacettin Rıza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tacettin Rıza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çelikan Tokkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kocaeli Spor's Temel Kunt got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahmet Dağasan hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Günay Yaren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tacettin Rıza. Kocaeli Spor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Temel Kunt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Sebati Süvari made a huge save. Tacettin Rıza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cemalettin Kartal in the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, Varto's Sebati Süvari got control of the ball when Peyami Budaklı tried to sneak it across the goal line. Temel Kunts short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Sebati Süvari to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Peyami Budaklı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Temel Kunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Batıkan Nebahattin fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kocaeli Spor's protests and gave Batıkan Nebahattin a yellow card for diving instead. Batıkan Nebahattin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cemalettin Kartal in the 35th minute of play forced Kocaeli Spor's goalkeeper Tacettin Rıza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebati Süvari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Temel Kunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kocaeli Spor were furious when Hasan Can Özbilen was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kocaeli Spor! Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Varto's Sebati Süvari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umut Tunç in the 53rd minute of play. Seyhun Ongunsu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebati Süvari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Sebati Süvari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seyhun Ongunsu in the 60th minute of play. Sebati Süvari came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kocaeli Spor's Peyami Budaklı. But to his dismay, Peyami Budaklı quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tacettin Rıza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cemalettin Kartal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tacettin Rıza came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Varto's Çelikan Tokkan. But to his dismay, Çelikan Tokkan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Peyami Budaklı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Seyhun Ongunsu struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Sebati Süvari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kocaeli Spor. After 88 played minutes Varto got a freekick which was hit by Günay Yaren. Kocaeli Spor's Peyami Budaklı got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Varto's Günay Yaren got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 93 minutes, Umut Tunç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kocaeli Spor and the Varto players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kocaeli Spor getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Umut Tunç hit a great ball. Varto's Günay Yaren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kocaeli Spor. Tacettin Rıza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cemalettin Kartal, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
