Vacib Yücesoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1967 Trabzonspo®. In the 24thth minute of the game Ergin Özgu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1967 Trabzonspo®'s Rıfkı Cambaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vacib Yücesoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halit Tuğkun in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Gökberk Tunalı shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vacib Yücesoy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rıfkı Cambaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Vacib Yücesoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Engin Saim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vacib Yücesoy. Fenerbahce's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match Gökberk Tunalı shot from a long distance. The audience was convinced that Halit Tuğkun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vacib Yücesoy was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Süruri Nadir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Halit Tuğkun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vacib Yücesoy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fenerbahce's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
