Lortoglu SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TrabzonSpor the free kick. After 8 played minutes Lortoglu SK got a freekick which was hit by Tevfik Cevizci. After a defensive mix-up in TrabzonSpor's zone, Aydemir Onat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ateş Sanal came out of the goal and Aydemir Onat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Demircan Kamran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ateş Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ateş Sanal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Demircan Kamran's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When Fuat Kamran fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TrabzonSpor's protests and gave Fuat Kamran a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, TrabzonSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fuat Kamran to maneuver through the defense. When Kazım Dündaroğlu fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TrabzonSpor's protests and gave Kazım Dündaroğlu a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes TrabzonSpor got a freekick which was hit by Kazım Dündaroğlu. After 28 played minutes TrabzonSpor got a freekick which was hit by Fuat Kamran. Demircan Kamran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ateş Sanal having to interfere. Ateş Sanal came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lortoglu SK's Aydemir Onat. But to his dismay, Aydemir Onat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Demircan Kamran in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ateş Sanal saved TrabzonSpor from getting behind. Lortoglu SK's Aydemir Onat got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind TrabzonSpor's goalkeeper Ateş Sanal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. TrabzonSpor's Ateş Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aydemir Onat in the 40th minute of play. Muzaffer Verim was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Özalp Bilgiç.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mustafa Gündeş to strike the kick off in the second half. Muzaffer Verim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çetin Akıncıbey in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in TrabzonSpor's zone, Demircan Kamran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ateş Sanal came out of the goal and Demircan Kamran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demircan Kamran in the 61st minute of play forced TrabzonSpor's goalkeeper Ateş Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ateş Sanal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Demircan Kamran in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute, TrabzonSpor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Demircan Kamran fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mehmet Alpman hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Çetin Akıncıbey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Muzaffer Verim was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Zachary Rode struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ateş Sanal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lortoglu SK. In the 74th minute, Mustafa Gündeş made a precise shot to the right of Muzaffer Verim. Lortoglu SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 80 minutes into the game, Kazım Dündaroğlu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lortoglu SK's Zachary Rode quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Lortoglu SK booed when TrabzonSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özalp Bilgiç didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Kılıçhan Yurdaer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lortoglu SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kılıçhan Yurdaer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ateş Sanal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Lortoglu SK's Demircan Kamran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ateş Sanal. Ateş Sanal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Ateş Sanal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Demircan Kamran's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aydemir Onat got free with Ateş Sanal in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Lortoglu SK's Aydemir Onat ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ateş Sanal. Ateş Sanal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3.
