Tuncay Kaygun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Kütahyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet İlke Uygun came free, but Talat Ongel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet İlke Uygun might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Talat Ongel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet İlke Uygun ran back to his position shaking his head. Tuncay Kaygun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Talat Ongel having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ahmet İlke Uygun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akhisar's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet İlke Uygun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Talat Ongel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cüneyt Özkutsal to strike the kick off in the second half. Fetih Türegün kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The long shot by Mustafa Cumhur Günsel in the 55th minute really tested Kutay Bekiroğlu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tuncay Kaygun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kütahyaspor's goalkeeper Talat Ongel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Atalay Nizam fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kutay Bekiroğlu, passed just outside the right post. Tuncay Kaygun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Talat Ongel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuncay Kaygun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Ecevit Ülkü hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
