Yesilova's supporters rose to their feet, but Atak Halıcı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umut Nurullah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mehmet Ali Koçhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umut Nurullah having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Atak Halıcı put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Umut Nurullah. In the 21st minute Mehmet Ali Koçhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umut Nurullah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eregli's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Mehmet Ali Koçhan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Eregli's Umut Nurullah got control of the ball when Mehmet Ali Koçhan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ersin Savaşer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 99 minutes into the match, Yesilova's goal looked a bit too open when Erhun Ökmener came free, but Veysel Koçarslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
