Yesilköy's Ahmet Fikret Çelen got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kamer Akdurmuş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhittin Serkan having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Ahmet Fikret Çelen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yesilköy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Fikret Çelen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Necmettin Onuk in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nejat Alp Yaşam saved Akyol from getting behind. If Mehmet Fatih Metiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Güralp Uluerkan took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Muhittin Serkan. Muhittin Serkan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Ali Güralp Uluerkan made the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Fikret Çelen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Nejat Alp Yaşam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Mehmet Fatih Metiner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yesilköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Fatih Metiner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Muhittin Serkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle went the supporters of Akyol were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Yesilköy side.
