Thanks to some nice moves Derviş Tümel could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Lemi Baltaş however easily saved by the left post. Derviş Tümel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Lemi Baltaş when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lemi Baltaş was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 57 minutes, Derviş Tümel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sultanahmet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derviş Tümel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Behlül Çalkın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lemi Baltaş having to interfere. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Naci Tuğtekin sped through Sultanahmet's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Seyfullah Dikmen. Naci Tuğtekin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Seyfullah Dikmen made a huge save. Lemi Baltaş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derviş Tümel in the 91st minute of the match. Behlül Çalkın recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
