After 6 played minutes Selim got a freekick which was hit by Yetkin İltemiz. Müjdat Uluerkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute Tansel Durusan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mümin Yiğitcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Selim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serbülent Uçanay to maneuver through the defense. Şaban Şinasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serbülent Darga in the 18th minute of the match. TİRNAZ's Lokman Kaan got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Selim's Müjdat Uluerkan in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TİRNAZ's goalie prevented a goal. 25 minutes into the match, TİRNAZ's goal looked a bit too open when Müjdat Uluerkan came free, but Mümin Yiğitcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TİRNAZ's Mümin Yiğitcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Müjdat Uluerkan in the 31st minute of play. Mümin Yiğitcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tansel Durusan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Tansel Durusan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mümin Yiğitcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alkan Yücelen's late challenge caught a Selim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alkan Yücelen helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes TİRNAZ got a freekick which was hit by Alkan Yücelen. 40 minutes into the game, Müjdat Uluerkan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mümin Yiğitcan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Müjdat Uluerkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 49 minutes into the match, TİRNAZ's goal looked a bit too open when Müjdat Uluerkan came free, but Mümin Yiğitcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serbülent Darga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Selim booed when TİRNAZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Ferit Akdoğu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Selim's Tansel Durusan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mümin Yiğitcan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Tansel Durusan put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Mümin Yiğitcan. Sezgin Şömel hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Mümin Yiğitcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Müjdat Uluerkan in the 75th minute of the match. Tansel Durusan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Mümin Yiğitcan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Necmettin Soyselçuk charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Necmettin Soyselçuk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Necmettin Soyselçuk hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Müjdat Uluerkan lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Mümin Yiğitcan. Lokman Kaan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Şaban Şinasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mümin Yiğitcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müjdat Uluerkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Müjdat Uluerkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Selim booed when TİRNAZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necmettin Soyselçuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Selim's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
