In the 43rd match minute, METU CRP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilla Bumin Revis to maneuver through the defense. Aydemir Taşcıoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nizam Eskici, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The supporters of METU CRP booed when Anadolu FK. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fethi Kurman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Anadolu FK.'s goal looked a bit too open when Serbülent Akartürk came free, but Aydemir Taşcıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Anadolu FK. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
