The referee ignored Heybeliada's protests and gave Feyzullay Gazel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute of the match Mehmet Öğüç sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Necip Fazıl Mengü skillfully saved the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Heybeliada's goal looked a bit too open when Cenan Köklem came free, but Necip Fazıl Mengü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heybeliada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FENERBAHÇE the free kick. Necip Fazıl Mengü showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serhan İlbaşı in the 34th minute of the match. Erkut Omural sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes in the game, Erkut Omural fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Akgün Saatçioğlu having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barlas Yağıztekin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 74thth minute of the game Barlas Yağıztekin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heybeliada's Necip Fazıl Mengü was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the last second Necip Fazıl Mengü throw himself and got hold of the ball when Barlas Yağıztekin in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Necip Fazıl Mengü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Barış Hafızoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Erkut Omural sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Erkut Omural had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lütfi Şengil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Akgün Saatçioğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yakup Kadri İlcan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Cenan Köklem's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Necip Fazıl Mengü firmly grabbed it by the left post.
