The Kovancilar SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 25th minute, Tekin Ataseven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Kovancilar SK fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Kovancilar SK's Abdurrahman Samet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Abdurrahman Samet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azmi Yıldız might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enginalp İnanır. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Azmi Yıldız ran back to his position shaking his head. Enginalp İnanır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdurrahman Samet, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute İsmail Cem Şakir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efekan Kurtaran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azmi Yıldız's late challenge caught a Güzelyurt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Azmi Yıldız helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Güzelyurt booed when Kovancilar SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azmi Yıldız didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efekan Kurtaran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsmail Cem Şakir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdurrahman Samet to strike the kick off in the second half. Abdurrahman Samets short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Enginalp İnanır to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Enginalp İnanır stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdurrahman Samet's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 69 minutes into the match, Kovancilar SK's goal looked a bit too open when Aşır Okcun came free, but Efekan Kurtaran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enginalp İnanır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdurrahman Samet in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Abdurrahman Samet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kovancilar SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Ekrem Beykan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdurrahman Samet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ekrem Beykan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enginalp İnanır having to interfere.
