Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Erdem Ersed took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Sertel Niğdeli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 5th minute Erdem Ersed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tugay Özgun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erdem Ersed in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tugay Özgun saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. Tugay Özgun stood somewhat misplaced when Erdem Ersed came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 8 minute. Herbert Buteau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tugay Özgun stood somewhat misplaced when Erdem Ersed came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 13 minute. Polat Himmet kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gayrettepe FK's Ata Eyüpoğlu tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Herbert Buteau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gayrettepe FK's Erdem Ersed got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Gayrettepe FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigiusz Kalak to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Tugay Özgun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erdem Ersed's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Tugay Özgun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 43 minutes, Erdem Ersed made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. GALATASARAY's Tugay Özgun tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Herbert Buteau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Yaşar Arpacı hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teoman Tuğsavan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Erdem Ersed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tugay Özgun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 53 minutes, Erdem Ersed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gayrettepe FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erdem Ersed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. İbrahim Ethem Dilan hit a great ball. Tugay Özgun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erdem Ersed's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Onurhan Selman made a precise shot to the right of Esen Toprak. Gayrettepe FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Erdem Ersed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tugay Özgun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Buteau in the 65th minute of the match. When Ziemowit Glogowski came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Gayrettepe FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ziemowit Glogowski couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Erdem Ersed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erdem Ersed scored 4-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tugay Özgun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tugay Özgun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Buteau in the 75th minute of the match. Joeri Janus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tugay Özgun having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erdem Ersed in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tugay Özgun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Erdem Ersed sped through GALATASARAY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tugay Özgun. Esen Toprak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teoman Tuğsavan in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Erdem Ersed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gayrettepe FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Erdem Ersed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tugay Özgun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tugay Özgun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erdem Ersed's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gayrettepe FK fully deserved thier win.
