The audience thought a goal was coming when Ziemowit Glogowski got free with Suat Koray in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Herbert Buteau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Suat Koray was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 28th minute, Ziemowit Glogowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gayrettepe FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Remigiusz Kalak kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Suat Koray made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ziemowit Glogowski sent off a good shot on target. Suat Koray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Buteau, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Erdem Ersed recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gayrettepe FK's Erdem Ersed suffered a sore thigh after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yu Ran Bing during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kızılyıldız SK's Yu Ran Bing got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Kızılyıldız SK's Suat Koray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Kızılyıldız SK from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Numan Benli was the one to do the kick off. Ziemowit Glogowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Suat Koray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Herbert Buteau made a precise shot to the right of Suat Koray. Kızılyıldız SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After a rather tough play, Kızılyıldız SK's Yu Ran Bing got a free kick in the 56th minute. Remigiusz Kalak struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Suat Koray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gayrettepe FK. Suat Koray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziemowit Glogowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gayrettepe FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
