After having played for 12 minutes, Seyhun Necati managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bozkurt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seyhun Necati was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Seyhun Necati got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Faik Tezeren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Güngör Berat made a huge save. After some careless play in the Bozkurt defense, Faik Tezeren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Güngör Berat. The Bozkurt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Güngör Berat should have stopped the shot. Güngör Berat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aşır Girgin in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Bozkurt's goalkeeper Güngör Berat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faik Tezeren. With a little luck, Bozkurt's Güngör Berat got control of the ball when Faik Tezeren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bozkurt's Güngör Berat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aşır Girgin in the 37th minute of play. If Aşır Girgin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fikret Çağnur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerim Çalapover, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Kerim Çalapover fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bozkurt's protests and gave Kerim Çalapover a yellow card for diving instead. Kerim Çalapover kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Seyhun Necati to make the kick off. Güngör Berat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aytek Uyaralp in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Bozkurt's goal looked a bit too open when Onur Ali Başkara came free, but Güngör Berat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faik Tezeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Güngör Berat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Aşır Girgin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Güngör Berat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Faik Tezeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Güngör Berat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aytek Uyaralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güngör Berat having to interfere. Aşır Girgin got in the 77th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Güngör Berat handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Güngör Berat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faik Tezeren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bozkurt's goalkeeper Güngör Berat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seyhun Necati recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erhan Tekay's late challenge caught a Yenikapi JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erhan Tekay helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bozkurt fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Yenikapi JK. Rasim Ersezer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Güngör Berat. 3-0. Yenikapi JK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
