Kaptan Cevan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batı Cantürk having to interfere. When Ubaldo Pepillo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Mami SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Pepillo couldn't finish the play. Ubaldo Pepillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Batı Cantürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Batı Cantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Pepillo in the 43rd minute of play. Martin Hamberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emin Tekiner in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Beşiktaş JK's goalkeeper Batı Cantürk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Alajim Kvesić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Batı Cantürk. Beşiktaş JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alajim Kvesić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Mami SK's goal looked a bit too open when Emin Tekiner came free, but Martin Hamberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes, Nurtekin Önder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beşiktaş JK and the Mami SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Hamberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emin Tekiner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Pepillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Batı Cantürk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Pepillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Emin Tekiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Martin Hamberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mami SK booed when Beşiktaş JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haşmet Vala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mami SK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
