Spectators: 7146 (Terracing: 5393, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Atabey Dalga started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Korhan Birhan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baykam Durualp. Tahtakale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Korhan Birhan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 13th minute, Atabey Dalga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karatay SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Tahtakale's Baykam Durualp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atabey Dalga in the 17th minute of play. Baykam Durualp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atabey Dalga, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Tahtakale's Baykam Durualp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İbrahim Ethem Unan in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Tahtakale defense, İbrahim Ethem Unan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baykam Durualp. The Tahtakale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baykam Durualp should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Seyfi Vezir made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Mehmet Sabancı sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Karatay SK's goalkeeper Ahmet Seyfi Vezir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Sabancı. A collision led to Karatay SK getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Atabey Dalga hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, İbrahim Ethem Unan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Korhan Birhan struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Baykam Durualp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karatay SK. Saltuk Felek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ahmet Seyfi Vezir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saltuk Felek to make the kick off. Paşa Karaoğlan made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tahtakale's Mehmet Sabancı. Baykam Durualp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Ethem Unan, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Korhan Birhan got free with Baykam Durualp in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baykam Durualp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Korhan Birhan in the 60th minute. If Saltuk Felek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Karatay SK's İbrahim Ethem Unan got a free kick in the 64th minute. Mehmet Sabancı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Seyfi Vezir. Karatay SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Batıray Arıhan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baykam Durualp came out and tried to block the shot, but Batıray Arıhan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 66th minute. Saltuk Felek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Karatay SK's zone, Mehmet Sabancı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Seyfi Vezir came out of the goal and Mehmet Sabancı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th match minute, Tahtakale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cenan Özenli to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korhan Birhan in the 80th minute of play forced Tahtakale's goalkeeper Baykam Durualp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Tahtakale got a freekick which was hit by Cenan Özenli. In the 89th match minute, Karatay SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paşa Karaoğlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match, Atabey Dalga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baykam Durualp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Korhan Birhan got free with Baykam Durualp in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Karatay SK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
