Spectators: 7024 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1550, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Müjdat Kaymaz started the match with the kick off. Karatay SK's Ahmet Seyfi Vezir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdi Yordam in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Doğan Bayazid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Karatay SK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Olgun Suphi hit a great ball. After 23 minutes of play, Gördes FK's Ferdi Yordam made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Seyfi Vezir was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Gördes FK's Müjdat Kaymaz in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karatay SK's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Müjdat Kaymaz in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Seyfi Vezir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Gördes FK's Aral Özçınar got a free kick in the 30th minute. It was a brilliant solo performance by Karatay SK's Atabey Dalga when he shot the ball into the net to 1-1 in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Gördes FK's goal looked a bit too open when Atabey Dalga came free, but Ahmet Korkut Alatay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Ferdi Yordam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Seyfi Vezir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Karatay SK's zone, Ferdi Yordam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Seyfi Vezir came out of the goal and Ferdi Yordam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Doğan Bayazid in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Karatay SK's İbrahim Ethem Unan. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atabey Dalga made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ferdi Yordam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Müjdat Kaymaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ahmet Seyfi Vezir. Müjdat Kaymaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Ferdi Yordam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Müjdat Kaymaz came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Gördes FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Müjdat Kaymaz couldn't finish the play. Doğan Bayazid hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Ahmet Korkut Alatay came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Karatay SK's Korhan Birhan. But to his dismay, Korhan Birhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Ahmet Seyfi Vezir was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Müjdat Kaymaz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Müjdat Kaymaz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gördes FK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
