Başakşehir's Alkın Ulusu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baran Mustafa in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berkant Ötüken got free with Alkın Ulusu in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baran Mustafa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alkın Ulusu having to interfere. Berkant Ötüken who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Alkın Ulusu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Baran Mustafa got free in front of the goal in the 15th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Alkın Ulusu was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Ankara's Baran Mustafa in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Başakşehir's goalie prevented a goal. Uluç Öğün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Alkın Ulusu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berkant Ötüken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Alkın Ulusu made a huge save. Baran Mustafa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alkın Ulusu having to interfere. In the 36th minute Baran Mustafa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkın Ulusu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baran Mustafa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes of play, Ankara's Berkant Ötüken made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alkın Ulusu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Alkın Ulusu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baran Mustafa went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When Sermet Turhan fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Başakşehir's protests and gave Sermet Turhan a yellow card for diving instead. Ankara's Baysal Vasfi was substituted for Uluç Öğün. The supporters of Ankara booed when Başakşehir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sermet Turhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baran Mustafa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alkın Ulusu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alkın Ulusu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baysal Vasfi in the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Başakşehir's goal looked a bit too open when Baran Mustafa came free, but Alkın Ulusu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Ankara's Klaus Lingier made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alkın Ulusu was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Ankara's Enes Türker got control of the ball when Anıl Mücahit Uzel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Halit Ozaner lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Başakşehir fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! There was no doubt that Ankara were the better team. Ankara's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
