Güven Onkal started the match with the kick off. Aziz Durusan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atabey Zeynelabidin in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute Güven Onkal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kutlay Hanedan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Sögütözü FK's Tunç> Yalazay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aziz Durusan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aziz Durusan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tunç> Yalazay's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After 23 minutes of play, Sögütözü FK's Atabey Zeynelabidin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aziz Durusan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Atabey Zeynelabidin got free with Aziz Durusan in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 played minutes Van got a freekick which was hit by Lütfü Kutulmuş. If Tunç> Yalazay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Van:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sögütözü FK:s goal. Sögütözü FK's Tunç> Yalazay got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tunç> Yalazay came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Sögütözü FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tunç> Yalazay couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atabey Zeynelabidin was the one to do the kick off. Tunç> Yalazay struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Aziz Durusan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sögütözü FK. Tunç> Yalazay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kutlay Hanedan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehmet Emrah Sungurbay in the 61st minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Tunç> Yalazay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Van's Aziz Durusan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 64 minutes, Batı Utkan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Van and the Sögütözü FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. 64 minutes into the game, one of Van:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Sögütözü FK. Özmen Oktan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aziz Durusan. 3-0. Aziz Durusan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tunç> Yalazay in the 71st minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Tunç> Yalazay made a precise shot to the right of Aziz Durusan. Van's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sögütözü FK's goalkeeper Kutlay Hanedan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
