After 4 played minutes Levent got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Şefik Neba. After 8 played minutes Levent got a freekick which was hit by Namık Kemal Erduran. In the 13th minute, BEŞİKTAŞ's Şafak Eskici ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sacit Orguntay. Sacit Orguntay yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Chmelyk in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sacit Orguntay saved Levent from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Marian Chmelyk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sacit Orguntay, 2-0. BEŞİKTAŞ's Marian Chmelyk got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞ's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Şefik Neba came free, but Kyriakos Kerveros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sacit Orguntay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boğaç Tankan in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Levent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Namık Kemal Erduran to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes, Gökçe Kura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Levent and the BEŞİKTAŞ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gökçe Kura hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Ahmet Ömür Derdiyok came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Levent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Ömür Derdiyok couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Marian Chmelyk made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Şafak Eskici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sacit Orguntay was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Agah Bozok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sacit Orguntay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agah Bozok recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kyriakos Kerveros made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gökçe Kura sent off a good shot on target. Sacit Orguntay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agah Bozok, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Sacit Orguntay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şafak Eskici in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Emrullah Akkuş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sacit Orguntay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Şefik Neba's late challenge caught a BEŞİKTAŞ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehmet Şefik Neba helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Mehmet Şefik Neba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marian Chmelyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacit Orguntay having to interfere. When Marian Chmelyk came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the BEŞİKTAŞ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Chmelyk couldn't finish the play. If Marian Chmelyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th match minute, BEŞİKTAŞ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boğaç Tankan to maneuver through the defense. Kyriakos Kerveros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gökçe Kura in the 91st minute. BEŞİKTAŞ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
