Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahmet Ali Uzma started the match with the kick off. Işık Tekindağ's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Yıldıray Dursunali skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 6 minutes into the game, Ziya Kani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KARŞIYAKA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gömec the free kick. In the 6th match minute, KARŞIYAKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ziya Kani to maneuver through the defense. Yıldıray Dursunali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Ali Uzma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yıldıray Dursunali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Işık Tekindağ, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, KARŞIYAKA's goalkeeper Yıldıray Dursunali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Işık Tekindağ. In the 17th minute Ahmet Ali Uzma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yıldıray Dursunali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Işık Tekindağ got free with Yıldıray Dursunali in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Işık Tekindağ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Yıldıray Dursunali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yıldıray Dursunali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Ali Uzma in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, KARŞIYAKA's Ziya Kani got a free kick in the 26th minute. Işık Tekindağ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KARŞIYAKA's Yıldıray Dursunali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ali Uzma in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Gömec booed when KARŞIYAKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ziya Kani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes KARŞIYAKA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arif Nihat Ünsev who took care of the corner kick. Işık Tekindağ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yıldıray Dursunali having to interfere. Duman Tatar hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ziya Kani to strike the kick off in the second half. Yıldıray Dursunali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Ali Uzma's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Işık Tekindağ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Yıldıray Dursunali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yıldıray Dursunali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Ali Uzma's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Ali Uzma in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yıldıray Dursunali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KARŞIYAKA's Ziya Kani got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Ahmet Ali Uzma notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of KARŞIYAKA's Yıldıray Dursunali. Yıldıray Dursunali was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68thth minute of the game Ahmet Ali Uzma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KARŞIYAKA's Yıldıray Dursunali was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th match minute, KARŞIYAKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ziya Kani to maneuver through the defense. Lütfi Yaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Günay Özgan having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the match, Gürhan Terzioğlu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Günay Özgan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. KARŞIYAKA's Yıldıray Dursunali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ali Uzma in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ali Uzma in the 81st minute of play forced KARŞIYAKA's goalkeeper Yıldıray Dursunali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Ali Uzma in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yıldıray Dursunali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gömec fans cheered their team off the field, for while KARŞIYAKA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
