When Emin Nazmi came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Sarayönü FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emin Nazmi couldn't finish the play. Yavuz Selim Erdurmus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Halil Utku Gerdaneri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Amasyaspor booed when Sarayönü FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erol Uraltan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Güralp İçöz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Bedri Başay having to interfere. A collision led to Sarayönü FK getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Hakkı Deniz Altuncuoğlu hit a great ball. Semavi Atasan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mehmet Bedri Başay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Amasyaspor's zone, Yavuz Selim Erdurmus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halil Utku Gerdaneri came out of the goal and Yavuz Selim Erdurmus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Halil Utku Gerdaneri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Selim Erdurmus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Amasyaspor's Güralp İçöz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mehmet Bedri Başay. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Yavuz Selim Erdurmus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil Utku Gerdaneri having to interfere. A collision led to Amasyaspor getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ahmet Davut Hekimoğlu hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Amasyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Emin Nazmi came free, but Halil Utku Gerdaneri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yavuz Selim Erdurmus in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Halil Utku Gerdaneri saved Amasyaspor from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Güralp İçöz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehmet Bedri Başay was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Güralp İçöz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Bedri Başay having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the match, Semavi Atasan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mehmet Bedri Başay was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Emin Nazmi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sarayönü FK's Hakkı Deniz Altuncuoğlu has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Güralp İçöz made the kick off in the second half. Emin Nazmi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Halil Utku Gerdaneri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Mustafa İmge fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarayönü FK's protests and gave Mustafa İmge a yellow card for diving instead. It was beautiful to see Amasyaspor's Güney İmge in action when he in the 59th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Yavuz Selim Erdurmus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil Utku Gerdaneri having to interfere. Sarayönü FK's Hakkı Deniz Altuncuoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Emin Nazmi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halil Utku Gerdaneri was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Yavuz Selim Erdurmus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yavuz Selim Erdurmus really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Ahmet Davut Hekimoğlu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
