Hami Suhan's late challenge caught a Mert SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hami Suhan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sarayönü FK's Hami Suhan got a free kick in the 9th minute. The long shot by Hamdi Torhan in the 10th minute really tested Mehmet Bedri Başay's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Hakkı Deniz Altuncuoğlu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. A hard shot 13 in the game by Aznaro Correa from a close distance when the talented Mehmet Bedri Başay managed to make a qualified save. Sarayönü FK's players were relieved. Mehmet Bedri Başay made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Aznaro Correa sent off a good shot on target. 2-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Aznaro Correa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Aznaro Correa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Mehmet Bedri Başay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Sarayönü FK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Erol Uraltan hit a great ball. Egemen Tayfun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emin Nazmi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Sarayönü FK fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Sarayönü FK's Yavuz Selim Erdurmus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Mert SK defense, Emin Nazmi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egemen Tayfun. The Mert SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egemen Tayfun should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yavuz Selim Erdurmus was the one to do the kick off. Aznaro Correa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Bedri Başay having to interfere. Emin Nazmi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Egemen Tayfun made a huge save. If Hüsrev Niyazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emin Nazmi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emin Nazmi got free with Egemen Tayfun in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mert SK's Egemen Tayfun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yavuz Selim Erdurmus in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Sarayönü FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mutlu İzzet to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Selim Erdurmus in the 73rd minute of play forced Mert SK's goalkeeper Egemen Tayfun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aznaro Correa in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Bedri Başay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the game, Tunç Öktem cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Mehmet Bedri Başay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mehmet Bedri Başay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aznaro Correa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hakkı Deniz Altuncuoğlu hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Mert SK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
