After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Cem Şahiner got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Şenel Ilgaz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Sarper Münir skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şenel Ilgaz got free with Sarper Münir in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6thth minute of the game Mats Pålsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TRABZONSPOR's Sarper Münir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Bumin Çetinsu put in a rough tackle. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for TRABZONSPOR! Şeref Çubukcu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 11 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Pålsson came free, but Sarper Münir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Sarper Münir managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Leons's Şenel Ilgaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sarper Münir made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Şeref Çubukcu sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute of the match, Şenel Ilgaz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sarper Münir was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 20th match minute, TRABZONSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cem Şahiner to maneuver through the defense. Şeref Çubukcu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sarper Münir. TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sarper Münir stood somewhat misplaced when Mats Pålsson came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. Mats Pålsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sarper Münir having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mats Pålsson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sarper Münir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Şenel Ilgaz took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sarper Münir. Sarper Münir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Sarper Münir made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Şenel Ilgaz sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when İlmi Cenger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Erim Zorbey managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when TRABZONSPOR's İlmi Cenger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. İlmi Cenger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Erim Zorbey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Mats Pålsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sarper Münir was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Sarper Münir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şenel Ilgaz's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the TRABZONSPOR defense, Mats Pålsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sarper Münir. The TRABZONSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sarper Münir should have stopped the shot. TRABZONSPOR's Cem Şahiner pulled a muscle in his leg after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucrețiu Zaharia during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sarper Münir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şenel Ilgaz in the 69th minute of the match. 6-0 became the score in the 72nd minute when Mats Pålsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sarper Münir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mats Pålsson's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. When Mats Pålsson came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Leons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mats Pålsson couldn't finish the play. Şenel Ilgaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sarper Münir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Şenel Ilgaz ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 78 minutes, Mats Pålsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mats Pålsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şenel Ilgaz in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sarper Münir saved TRABZONSPOR from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kılıçhan Süreyya during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to TRABZONSPOR getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. İlmi Cenger hit a great ball. In the 85th minute of the match Şeref Çubukcu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sarper Münir skillfully saved the ball. If Şenel Ilgaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Mats Pålsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 94 minutes into the game, Leons's Şeref Çubukcu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sarper Münir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Leons walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
