Fuat Çelen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehmet Ali Gence's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Fuat Çelen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süleyman Olguner in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cal JK's Nuri Tanberk got a free kick in the 19th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Genc's Rahim Tanyeri tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilla Tarkan Erensoy during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Cal JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilla Tarkan Erensoy to maneuver through the defense. If Süleyman Olguner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Semi Özbir in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baykal Çoğaş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baykal Mertoğul struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Baykal Çoğaş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cal JK. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Süleyman Olguner was the one to do the kick off. Mehmet Ali Gence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Fuat Çelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Genc's zone, Semi Özbir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baykal Çoğaş came out of the goal and Semi Özbir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Süleyman Olguner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fuat Çelen having to make a save. The supporters of Genc booed when Cal JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Emin Taştan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baykal Çoğaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Emin Taştan, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Semi Özbir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baykal Çoğaş was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Süleyman Olguner took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fuat Çelen. Fuat Çelen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Baykal Mertoğul hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Genc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nejat İkram to maneuver through the defense. Fuat Çelen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süleyman Olguner, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Genc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Genc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
