Ertunç Cenger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turgay Tarhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When İsa Rahmi fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alapli's protests and gave İsa Rahmi a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Alapli got a freekick which was hit by İsa Rahmi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Korkutalp Özbekkan got free with Ertunç Cenger in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Servet Ulutan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zülfikar Talu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Alapli's Enginalp Boğataş got a free kick in the 65th minute. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Turgay Tarhan took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ertunç Cenger to make any attempt to save it.
