Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Resulhan Uğuz got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Ahmet Erdem Balyemez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faik Aktaşlı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Haşim Oğuzcan charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Haşim Oğuzcan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cerrahpasa getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. A well-hit corner resulted in Doğa Sayın heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Erdem Balyemez in the 11th minute of play forced Cerrahpasa's goalkeeper Faik Aktaşlı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vecdet Öktüre made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gürsel İlgi sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, Cerrahpasa's Resulhan Uğuz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vecdet Öktüre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alaaddin Genç hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Cerrahpasa's Resulhan Uğuz got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cerrahpasa's Hakan İhsan got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Hakan İhsan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Cerrahpasa's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Erdem Balyemez came free, but Faik Aktaşlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Resulhan Uğuz in the 23rd minute of play forced Gediz's goalkeeper Vecdet Öktüre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gediz booed when Cerrahpasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Bilge Özberk didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Efe Ünalan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29thth minute of the game Efe Ünalan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerrahpasa's Faik Aktaşlı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Gürsel İlgi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerrahpasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gürsel İlgi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Arif Bilge Özberk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Resulhan Uğuz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vecdet Öktüre. That made the score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efe Ünalan to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Efe Ünalan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gediz's supporters rose to their feet, but Efe Ünalan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faik Aktaşlı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Resulhan Uğuz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Öktüre having to interfere. If Gürsel İlgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cerrahpasa booed when Gediz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alaaddin Genç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gürsel İlgi might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vecdet Öktüre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürsel İlgi ran back to his position shaking his head. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gediz fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Cerrahpasa a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ferdi Kiyas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gediz's Vecdet Öktüre. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Resulhan Uğuz in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vecdet Öktüre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cerrahpasa's Resulhan Uğuz got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Gediz booed when Cerrahpasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Bilge Özberk didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gürsel İlgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efe Ünalan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faik Aktaşlı having to make a save. Vecdet Öktüre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Resulhan Uğuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vecdet Öktüre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Resulhan Uğuz, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
