Spectators: 7239 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tolga Altuncuoğlu took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Musa Tokuz in the 8th minute of play forced Malatya's goalkeeper Nejat Alp İhya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Macit Kalhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarayönü's Yusuf Bahadır Kiray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, Erkin Kıncal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malatya's Nejat Alp İhya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolga Altuncuoğlu in the 16th minute of play. Musa Tokuz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Nejat Alp İhya made a huge save. In the 22nd minute of the match Resulhan Tümcan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yusuf Bahadır Kiray showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sarayönü's Yusuf Bahadır Kiray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Macit Kalhan in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sarayönü's Mümtazer Gümüşcü got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Erkin Kıncal came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Malatya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erkin Kıncal couldn't finish the play. Malatya's Nejat Alp İhya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolga Altuncuoğlu in the 41st minute of play. Yusuf Bahadır Kiray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erkin Kıncal in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Afşar Erkinay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nejat Alp İhya having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Musa Tokuz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nejat Alp İhya was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 59 minutes into the match, Malatya's Macit Kalhan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yusuf Bahadır Kiray narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tolga Altuncuoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarayönü's supporters rose to their feet, but Tolga Altuncuoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nejat Alp İhya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Erkin Kıncal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolga Altuncuoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nejat Alp İhya having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Malatya's Erkin Kıncal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yusuf Bahadır Kiray narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Erkin Kıncal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yusuf Bahadır Kiray. Sarayönü's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erkin Kıncal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Sarayönü booed when Malatya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murat Selim İnanoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Malatya's goal looked a bit too open when Tolga Altuncuoğlu came free, but Nejat Alp İhya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Malatya's Erkin Kıncal got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
